Islands Language Center (ILC) is a vacation English immersion (ESL) school located in Freeport - an island fishing village - in the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia, Canada. Our small, friendly ESL programs provide students with over 12 contact hours a day with teachers, program assistants and community members. A variety of programs offered include student summer camps, small groups for adults, fifty-plus as well as individual programs that offer the choice of purely conversational English, English grammar, or both.

 

All ESL programs include structured small-group lessons, private lessons, and a wide variety of excursions including whale watching, coastal hiking and visits to notable historic and cultural sites. Excursions, games nights, communal dining, camp fire evenings and dramatic productions provide generous opportunities for conversation and practicing English language skills.
